Vineyards & Viticulture
From north-facing old (70+ years) vineyards from Quinta do Carril and older vines (about 100 years) near Quinta de Nápoles on the Tedo river, planted at an altitude of 750m.
Harvest & Vinification
After the fruit was meticulously sorted in the vineyard, as well as in the cellar (rebuilt as a gravity-flow winery in 2007), fermentation took place in conical stainless steel tanks with a skin contact period of approximately 60 days. The wine is then aged for 22 months in French barrels (25% new wood), where it also completed its malolactic fermentation.
