Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru
100% Pinot Noir
Vineyards & Viticulture
From a plot planted in 1980. One third of this bottling comes from a plot of Mazoyères-Chambertin, about 164 feet away from Dugat-Py’s other Mazoyères parcel, which is bottled separately. Old vine Pinot Fin that generates very low yields and naturally concentrated berries. No clones, only selection massale used to replant. Done in house using their best old Pinot Fin. They tend their vineyards like a garden, all the 1er Cru and Grand Cru vineyards are horse plowed, biodynamic teas are prepared in house, and they do not trim the apex on their vines. Only organic preparations since 2003.
