From a .2 hectare plot in the middle, sunny part of the vineyard. Harvest dates must be carefully monitored to avoid over-ripe grapes. Planting density of 11,000 vines per hectare. Vines planted in 1955. Pruning: 1/3 cordon de Royat and 2/3 simple Guyot. Yields of 30 to 50 hl per hectare.

Harvest & Vinification
Pneumatic pressing, then aging for 17 months in Tronçais barrels. 25 to 30% new oak that is medium-toast and rinsed with water in order to limit excessively woody notes in the wine. 17 months of aging and bottling without fining and without filtration.
