Last week, we had our New York City Summer Portfolio Tasting at a new venue on the edge of the Flower District called Wine Disciples. Martine’s Wines only has a couple annual tasting events for the New York and New Jersey trade, and this one was extra special — because it was my first! Tuesday morning I traveled by bicycle and a quick ferry ride over the East River into Manhattan to calm my nerves. Would anyone come on this first day of September? Would I be able to answer questions and speak knowledgeably about our wines? It’s akin to opening night…
Martine’s Wines was proud to feature the wonderful Meursaults of Domaine Bernard-Bonin for the first event at Manhattan Wine Company’s brand-new storefront in West Chelsea. This is arguably the most aesthetically pleasing and fully-functioning new wine store in Manhattan. President, Gregory Castells and Director of Sales, Kevin Foran were on hand to present the wines to a large group of consumers and collectors who happily tasted through a stellar line up and soaked up knowledge and information on this under-the-radar producer. Fun was had by all and they even bought some wine!
