Dugat-Py’s Mythical Chambertin

Today is a very special day for us. Never have we been able to offer this wine, and yet today, we can offer a 4-vintage vertical of one of the rarest wines in the world – Dugat-Py’s legendary Chambertin.

Dugat-Py purchased and has farmed a tiny parcel of nearly centenarian vines in the heart of Chambertin since the late ‘90s. As a visual, we’re talking about a plot that is barely 1/10th the size of an American football field in the heart of Chambertin – one of the greatest terroirs on earth. For comparison, Rousseau’s Chambertin holdings are about 45 times greater in size and volume. From this shopping center aisle sized lot, Loïc crafts a microscopic amount of wine that barely fills a barrel. For this reason, he has a custom barrel built to accommodate the 220-270 bottles of wine that are eventually filled.

As Martine’s private client, we are offering exclusive access to four vintages of this nearly mythical Chambertin.
